A-Level BIO in the lab
Today, A-level Bio students had a lab. This particular lab, Biologically Important Molecules, is an ASU Biology lab that the students have performed before, in their STEM year (2 years ago). I find it important that kids are exposed to complex content and practice (specifically in the lab), and that repetition of procedure coupled with more rigorous expectations and assessment the second time through elicits greater understanding and skill from the students in the end. Students performed a slightly simplified version of the lab their STEM year, and for A-level are performing the entire lab.
